Beauty – Palmer’s Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion For Instant Cooling

When I got the invitation from Sample Store to try out this product, I was thinking what in the world is a moisture spray? I’ve never seen anything like this around so I decided to go ahead and try it anyway out of curiosity. Besides, Pamler’s Cocoa Butter Formula is a famous brand for body moisturisers. If you are unfamiliar with Palmer’s, here’s their brand story:

Founded in America more than 170 years ago in 1842, Palmer’s has become one of the world’s leading names in skincare, a brand that women around the world have grown up with. Their unique heritage and commitment to quality has stood the test of time. Generations of families have loved the fantastic moisturizing qualities of Palmer’s skincare range, and millions of women around the world agree – Palmer’s can be found in bathroom cabinets in the homes of families in more than 80 countries, making it one of the popular skincare brand.

Their #1 formula, Cocoa Butter Formula, is one of Palmer’s key offering in its wide range of skincare. Today, Palmer’s is still committed to creating affordable products that really do work, growing to provide a Palmer’s product for every skincare need : hand and body care, facial care, stretch mark care, hair care, body care and personal care.

Using nature’s richest, most luxurious ingredients, Palmer’s key ingredients include Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Palmer’s has created a Palmer’s product for every skincare need. Palmer’s is against animal testing and all of the products are cruelty free. Majority of Palmer’s products are free of parabens, phthalates and sulphates.

I was rather excited to try this new product especially since I’ve been hunting for a good body moisturiser which fits my lifestyle of Hot Yoga everyday. Going for yoga everyday means I’ll shower often and this strips moisture from my skin. However, I cannot use body butter or body lotion because it’ll make my skin really slippery when I sweat and that’s neither ideal for yoga nor comfortable for me. I was hopeful that this could be the lightweight moisturiser I’ve been wishing for and turns out it was!

Introducing Palmer’s Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion.

The product came in a spray can. After looking at the product I realised it’s actually a body lotion with lightweight formula and not a liquid mist like Evian spray. It uses a unique delivery system and Rapidsorb ® Technology which is non-aerosol based and uses NO propellants to deliver fine sprays which allow the lotions to be very quickly absorbed into the skin.

Such product doesn’t sound convincing about its moisturising properties but their key ingredient is obviously their Cocoa Butter, which is nature’s super beauty ingredient and is very pampering for skin. It is also free of parabens and phthalates and is dermatologically and clinically tested.

The key ingredients include:

  • Cocoa Butter: a rich natural moisturizer that leaves skin soft and silky, tranforming even the roughest, driest areas into buttery soft skin.
  • Vitamin E: a powerful antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and imperfections on the skin, giving a more even and toned appearance.
  • Shea Butter: deeply moisturizes and nourishes to leave dry soft and radiant

To use, shake the can and spray it onto skin 7-10cm away. If it’s a big area spray in continuous motion. Rub the product into skin and you’re done!

This is what it looks like after spraying on. It is light and not oily.

This product is also endorsed by Sonia Sui. Watch how she uses it.

Even though the product contains aloe for instant cooling, you can use it even if you aren’t sun burnt or anything. Well actually with weather like this in Singapore, cooling sensation anytime is welcomed.

In Singapore’s humid weather, few people actually require body moisturizer of any sort on a daily basis. Furthermore, we tend to sweat or feel sticky in this weather and applying thick layers of cream will just feel icky and ball up on the surface of our skin. Most people find it unnecessary AND uncomfortable to moisturize, but actually we should because we shower more frequently than people living in cold climates and we spend a lot of time in air-conditioned environments. The air-conditioner dries up the air and our skin and this is actually quite bad. If you do not have a humidifier at home, you should apply body moisturizer while you sleep so your skin doesn’t dry out. I personally try not to sleep with the air-conditioner on because I don’t like the dried out feeling, but nowadays the weather is quite merciless so I don’t really have a choice.

I think the Palmer’s Rapid Moisture Spray Lotion is a genius invention because you get the moisturizing properties of their signature Cocoa Butter, but applied on with a light weight medium and not the usual thick creams which are gross to touch in humid weather. The moisturizing ingredient actually gets absorbed easily into the skin instead of sitting on the surface and my skin felt instantly soft and moisturized after! The moisturizing effect lasts all night for me too. My skin feels non-greasy and even when I sweat it out during Hot Yoga, I don’t feel uncomfortable or too slippery!

I also love the smell of cocoa butter. I don’t know about you but I personally like smelling like chocolate. Some of my previous body lotions from other brands are also cocoa butter scented. It makes me smell delicious.

I really like this new innovation and highly recommend it to everyone especially if you live in humid climates like Singapore’s.
