I’ve heard about café for their coffee. However, other than coffee, they serve sake too. It seems like a random drink to have at a place which specialises in coffees and cakes, but I guess it’s just random like that.
Their sake is from the brand Umenoyado. I’m not sure where else in Singapore carries this brand, but I’m sure somewhere they do, as this doesn’t seem to be some rare drink.
We had the blueberry sake. The size of the bottle was like a typical beer bottle, 330ml, and this contained 6.5% alcohol. It cost $18nett. They do not charge GST or service charge apparently.
Despite the blueberry flavour, the sake taste and smell was still quite distinct. The blueberry made the drink sweeter, but not to the extent of sweet like Moscato D’Asti or Inniskillin Ice Wine.
The café was rather small and simple in design, and their food seems inexpensive. I may consider returning to try some of their cakes or waffles in future.
