Japan Travel

I love travelling to Japan, it would be my 10th trip this year in 2018. I started travelling to Japan in 2013 because I found tickets to Kansai International Airport from Singapore Changi Airport for less than $300, and the rest they say is history.

Japan is divided into 8 regions – Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushu-Okinawa. The regions are further divided into Prefectures and currently there are 47 of them.  Currently, I’ve been to 20 out of 47 only and I’ve yet to visit Kyushu and Okinawa. Like every other Japan enthusiast, I hope to cover all 47 Prefectures eventually.

The prefectures and regions with links are those I’ve visited before.

Do check out my posts if you’re interested to learn more about these areas I’ve visited and do leave comments if you have any questions or have interesting things to share about Japan!

Useful information

* These 2 are the best outlet malls in Japan – they are the only two which offers international designer brands like Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Valentino, Prada, Furla etc. Other outlet malls mainly carry local brands (like Lowry’s Farm) or mass market brands (Nike, Adidas, Lego etc).
