I was looking for good roast pork in restaurants and I came across reviews for this restaurant, which was positive.

The setting of the restaurant was casual, like Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao. They serve a variety of dishes, from roast meat, peking duck, suckling pig, to live seafood, to shark’s fin. They also have cold dishes and a variety of la mian and other noodles. I’m not familiar with chinese food so I’m not sure what kind of cuisine or restaurant concept this falls under. I think they serve dim sum in the afternoon.

Roast Pork – $8.50++

The skin was very crispy and crackling. I would say it’s one of the better roast pork, in terms of crispy skin, that I’ve tried! The presentation was not as presentable as Taste Paradise or Shang Palace, however, but after all this is just a casual restaurant.

Xiao Long Bao – $4.00++

The xiao long bao, albeit kind of ugly looking as compared to Paradise Dynasty’s, was passable in terms of taste. The soup was not dried up and was tasty, and so were the fillings. The skin was thin enough for my liking too.

Drunken Chicken – $7.00++

I’m not a fan of such chicken so can’t comment much. But it’s still edible.

Sautéed Kai lan – $12.00++

This is the most overpriced dish of all. I personally would never order just vegetables in a chinese restaurant and would rather spend the $12.00++ having a bowl or 2 of salad at a café. I can’t tell where the cost into making this dish went to, when the cost price of the kai lan probably was just $0.50. It was just average at best and not worth it at all!

This is my first time trying any restaurant from the Imperial Treasure chain, and I would like to try Imperial Treasure Windows of Hong Kong (TripleOne Somerset), Imperial Treasure Noodle & Congee House (ION Orchard) soon!

Overall: not a bad place for a casual dinner. Nothing was horrible so I guess this place is a good choice.
