Imperial Treasure Steamboat (TripleOne Somerset) – Dinner

This is my second time at Imperial Treasure Steamboat. After trying steamboat at The Magic of Chong Qing Hot Pot last week, I was convinced that Imperial Treasure’s was still better. This time it was at TripleOne Somerset’s outlet, and overall I thought it was better than ION’s!

The wide array of condiments as usual, and this time, I made sure I scooped a lot of the Sze Chuan pepper chilli sauce before they took the tray away.

This is my favourite, ever since I last tried it. It makes all steamboat-ed food tastier instantly. This is probably commonly found at any Sze Chuan restaurant, but I love it all the same.

We ordered the $88.00++ set for 2 pax, and added on extra dumplings, vegetables and fish skin.

Choosing a split pot cost extra $10.00++. We had the Ma La soup and the Healthy Chicken Soup.

The Ma La soup wasn’t quite the type I wanted, but it was perfect when I added in the Sze Chuan chilli sauce!

For the set you can choose 2 types of meat from about 6 choices and we chose the Kurobuta Pork Belly and US Marbled Beef. Both were so well marbled and fresh, I really liked it!

I like how the fish or meat balls here are not precooked. Freshness is really the key to steamboat-ed food and these were really fresh.

By the end of it all, I could hardly walk. It was really that filling. It worked out to be about $75/pax and that was the same as my previous time at ION. Somehow I felt that I enjoyed this one more and felt that everything was fresher here.
