When I heard Lady M, being famous for their Mille Crêpes was new in town, I was really excited because I love Mille Crêpes! This chain hailing from New York currently has 2 shops in Singapore.
I went to the one at Marina Square and thankfully I got a nice seat before a long queue formed at around 4pm. Singaporeans seems to value tea time nowadays!
Gâteau aux Marrons
Among the 3 I tried, this was the best for me. I like my chestnut cream to be light and this was to my liking. It was almost like the chestnut pastries I had in Japan!
Tarte Aux Fruits
I found it strange to see papaya (I think?) on the fruit tart. While it was lovely to look at, I didn’t quite fancy this variation of tart base. It was rich and dense.
Signature Mille Crêpes
As the name suggests, this is what they’re famous for. Do eat it while cold because it did not survive room temperature for long, despite being in the cold air-conditioned mall. Honestly, I did not think highly of this Mille Crêpes! The top layer of burnt sugar was quite unbearably sweet for me and the taste was just forgettable. However, I do give it to them for making the layers thin and consistent. This quality is not to be taken for granted because I’ve had a terrible version before where the crêpe was thick and cream was bad. I would not try this again should I ever return to Lady M.

Value: 6.5/10
Overall: Not the best pastry shop in Singapore but the Gâteau aux Marrons was worth to try.
