I was at Brotzeit to try out their famous pork knuckles. It was my first time trying German food.

Pork Knuckle $36++

I asked the waitress, is the pork knuckle for 1 or for 2. She said it’s for 1. This is probably a single serving only for a fat man. There were leftovers after we both shared it! Especially the sides. Moral of the story: do not always trust the waiters.

However, this pork knuckle was DELICIOUS. The skin was so crispy, but done to perfection. The meat was tender.

As for the side dishes, I’ve yet to learn how to appreciate German preserved cabbage or pickles. Only the mash potato tasted normal to me.

Pork sausages $16.50++

If we had known how huge the pork knuckle was going to be, we would have not ordered this.

They’re famous for their German beers too. I tried the mango beer. Not bad.
