Equinox – High Tea

My second visit to Equinox was for High Tea on a Saturday afternoon.

The cake was damn nice! Scone was mediocre. Apple strudel wasn’t any good. The honeydew jelly was not my type.

The magical combination of marshmallow and strawberry dipped in chocolate fondue. I like my chocolate to be solidified with the ice water and not dripped wet.

The best part of the buffet.

Bain de Rose

Vanilla Bourbon

The high tea buffet at Equinox restaurant is extremely popular. I guess the reason behind its popularity is not much about the food itself, but because high tea is essentially the only meal at Equinox which is wallet friendly. Comparing to the Lunch buffet, the quality of the food available during high tea was a lot more unimpressive, save for the free flow of TWG tea. Some premium blends like Bain de Rose was available too! So actually, for high tea, it’s advisable to skip the savoury finger food and go straight for the cakes and tea. It if wasn’t for vouchers from Feed at Raffles to dine for free, I wouldn’t pay $43++ for this buffet. Normally there’s 50% off for 2pax if you have the Feed at Raffles card.

Reservations are required as this place is always packed, especially for weekends. If a window seat is desired, do specify during reservation.
