Osia II – Dinner

I had dinner at Osia today. It is definitely my favourite restaurant among all Resort World Sentosa restaurants.

Without reservations, we were still able to get a table for 2, as the restaurant wasn’t filled up when we arrived at 6:45pm.

Their set menu has changed slightly since my last visit. Even the selection of flat bread was not quite the same anymore. For this meal, we both took the Pre Dinner set which costs $38++ for 3 courses, with tea or coffee.

Truffled Kalamata Olive Flat Bread – $9.00++

The flavour for the tooth paste dip we got today was Pistachio Cream Cheese.

The bread was as good as I remembered it to be. It was was fluffy inside and crispy on the outside. Even to the last bite, the texture remained as good and it didn’t turn hard. The seasoning was tasty too.

Osia Mesclun Greens with Smoked Salmon Trout (+$6.00++)

The greens were crisp and fresh. The dressing was very light and refreshing to the palate. The smoked salmon was good too, not too salty.

Farmed Blue Fin Tuna Tataki

I chose this for my starter. Beautifully seared on the sides, it was quite a good choice, but I would prefer to have foie gras, like I did on my previous 2 visits. I was disappointed that foie gras was no longer part of the set menu. The only complaint was that this had a slight fishy taste, but it was just slight. I could still enjoy it.

Barramundi

My dining partner had the Barramundi. The side dishes were not quite the same as that served on my previous visit. It’s a good thing to change the sides once in a while.

Australian Beef Hanging Tender

I ordered this for my main course. I ordered medium rare for this and it was perfectly done. I actually enjoyed the taste of it more this time, than on my previous visit (done medium)! Instead of Cannellini Bean Cassoullet, it was served with Chestnut Mousseline, which I preferred. The accompanying mushrooms were great as usual.

Valrhona Hot Chocolate Soup

My third time having it and I’m still loving it.

My third visit to Osia didn’t disappoint me. The standard’s still as good as on my first visit! Do give it a try. For more restaurant information about Osia, please refer to my previous post.
