Prego Deli is located before the entrance of Prego Restaurant, in Fairmont Hotel.

On normal days, Feed at Raffles card holders enjoys 10% off for takeaway. For dining in, the prices will be double of anything from the deli.

When I reached  at 9:56pm, they were having 50% off cakes and bread. This promotion was valid until 10pm.

The normal price for the cakes was $5.00nett. With 50% off, each piece was $2.50!

Chocolate profiteroles

This was like the cream puffs from chewy junior, except that it’s better. Personally, I liked this. It may be too sweet for some, but it was acceptable to me. I liked the pastry too.

Praline chocolate cake

This cake was very rich and chocolate. For $2.50, this was a steal. It’s comparable to the rich chocolate cakes from awfully chocolate. It wasn’t exactly overly sweet as the top layer was bittersweet. The chocolate tasted like it was of good quality.

Chocolate fruit tart

Although this was the prettiest amongst the lot, this was probably the least outstanding. The chocolate biscuit base wasn’t good. the custard was kind of tasteless. For $2.50, I wouldn’t get this again.

On another occasion, I tried the Tiramisu. This cost $5.00

For $5.00, the price was pretty low and for that price, the standard was considered to be good. However, some I will prefer it if the sponge layer was thicker.

Overall: for a hotel’s restaurant’s bakery, the pastries were value for money. The taste wasn’t outstanding but it was good enough for the price paid.
