Probably only people who check out the World’s 50 best restaurant list would know about The Ledbury. It is way more low profile compared to Gordon Ramsay, Heston or Jamie Oliver, and the location of this is in Zone 2 of London, away from the city.
This restaurant was awarded with 2 Michelin stars and ranks #13 on the World’s 50 best list (however, I do not really trust the World’s 50 best ranking so just saying).
I made my reservations in advanced and it is necessary. For lunch, it’s 2 courses for £30 and 3 for £35.
Veloute of Globe Artichoke with Girolles, Saint Nectaire and Truffle Toast
Salad of Green Beans with Fresh Almonds, Nectarine and Grated Foie Gras
Short Rib of Red Ruby Beef Cooked for Eight Hours with Salted Baked Tokyo Turnips, Parsley and Horseradish
Fillet of Sea Bass with Roasted Cauliflower, Grains and Crab
Mulberry Leaf Ice Cream with Caramelised Goat’s Milk and Warm Beignets
Petite fours to end the meal.
Overall it was pretty good and I somehow enjoyed this more than Pollen Street Social or Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. I would say the food here is more unique and everything was good.
