CNY is around the corner and this means it’s time to have steamboat. I do not have the practice of having home based steamboat meals so I decided that I must visit Hai Di Lao during the festive season! Reservations are close to impossible so I took to queuing up. You could actually get a queue number earlier in the day and return when you wish to have your meal. They would assign the next available table to you and waiting time is minimal. I found this system rather reasonable and it worked well for me, since I was only ready for dinner at 9pm after my other activities for the evening. It beats sitting down for 3 hours like I did previously.
This is my 3rd time here and the good standards of everything remained. Not many restaurants can actually remain good so I give it to them for consistency. I ordered almost the same things as I did previously and my favourites have to be the US Beef, Black Pork, Sweet Potato Tube and Handmade Noodles in spicy soup.
I foresee a revisit soon!
