It’s almost impossible to find a satisfying burger in Singapore, especially after having really good ones overseas. Omakase burger has been around for a while but due to obscure location of their original outlet, I never got down to trying. I am glad that they have brought it to Orchard Road and I had it for a late dinner after shopping. The queue could be massive during dinner hours.
Omakase Cheeseburger – $14.90
Sweet Potato Fries – $5.20
I am quite amazed by how this place has such good business despite being quite overpriced for just burgers. The price is no longer fast food like, but it is essentially a fast food experience.
The patty indeed was not like regular fast food and you could request for medium done. It was juicy, tender and flavourful. It was everything they claimed it to be but really, I wouldn’t expect anything else since I paid a premium for just a burger. The bun was fluffy and not stale at all like some other fast food joints.
I liked the sweet potato fries. It’s my new favourite kind of fries. You just need to try this kind once and you’ll be a convert. The inside was very soft and “fleshy”, just like how I like my fries to be. I do not like the rock hard kind of fries. It helps to know that sweet potatoes are nutritious and not just empty calories like regular potatoes are.
