I’ve always liked Wine Connection for offering affordable and pretty good wines in Singapore and serving decently good food at their various restaurants, with pretty friendly price tags. Wine Connection restaurants are also popular among our expats and foreign visitors, especially for the outlets in Robertson Walk.
Their Cheese Bar is one of my favourite of their concepts because it’s rare to find somewhere specialising in cheese. Plus, the price tag is really friendly! On the menu you can find salads or sandwhiches featuring all sorts of cheese, cheese platters and a range of affordable wines by the glass or bottle.
The previous time I was here, I noticed people having Raclette and I’ve been wanting to try it ever since! It’s not that common in Singapore but at least we have one place which serves this everyday!
A huge slab of Raclette cheese waiting to be melted. It is a semi-hard cheese and it’ll slowly melt… I didn’t thought that we could finish that amount of cheese at first, but I was wrong.
It’s served with a platter of cold cuts, boiled potatoes, salad and assorted bread.
The cheese… There’s just something irresistible about hot melted cheese. Everyone loves cheese like this. Everyone loves watching cheese melt.
The cheese was so good. I could not wait for everything to melt so I scooped out some along the way.
This served as my dinner and I was really stuffed! Half the potatoes were left behind because the portion’s too big. My main priority was the cheese and I finished it.
Raclette here is $39.00++/pax, minimum 2 pax. It was a nice unique experience having it!
