I’ve been to the first Beauty in the Pot outlet (OneKM) shortly after it just opened and the experience was pleasant enough to leave decent memories. They now have a second outlet in The Centrepoint in town and I was lucky enough to win a meal for 3 in one of their giveaways!
The menu was decided by the restaurant and they said it was a set meal for 3 pax worth $150++, making it $50++/pax.
Many of the items here I’ve tried before when I went to OneKM’s outlet, like the dumplings, assorted balls, handmade fish tofu, ebiko prawn paste, beef and pork. Some items new to me include the drunken live prawns, otah paste and their new coconut soup. Having the quart pot makes trying different soups possible, but my favourite would be the original collagen soup and spicy mala soup.
Sauce station is included in my set meal. The selection is not bad and I would recommend trying it (better than Hai Di Lao’s, which I always opt out of).
So steamy! Is this why they call this steamboat?
