I’ve walked past this place several times and every time I take a whiff of their very fragrant smelling food it makes me want to have Northern Indian cuisine once again. Even though Indian food is quite easily found in Singapore, I seldom get to have it simply because it’s so hard to find companions who wish to have Indian food! It is also not practical to have it alone because most of the time, dishes are meant for sharing. It’ll be best to come in a group but that is even harder to organize.

However, for lunch they have individual sets so that kind of settles the problem! This restaurant is very small and seating is considered to be alfresco, along the corridor of Balestier Plaza, but sheltered. The layout is casual but not to the extent of no frills.

As usual, vegetarian and non-vegetarian options were available. Lime juice or ice lemon tea is included in the set price and prices are nett, so it’s inexpesive and value for money in my opinion. I’m not very experienced with Indian food so the most I can say is whether it’s good or not good.

Chicken Tikka Set Meal – $11.00nett

It comes with chicken tikka, vegetable curry, dhal, basmati rice and naan.

The chicken tikka wasn’t the strongest in flavour of all I’ve ever tried but it was alright and flavourful enough, tender texture wise. I liked it and it was satisfying. The basmati rice was nice even on it’s own.

Non vegetarian set meal (chicken) – $10nett

The chicken curry was pleasant too.
