Tucked away at Bukit Timah Saddle Club, Rider’s Café is open to public. If you’re lucky, you’ll see horses walking around. The restaurant is very secluded and there’s no sign of urbanisation up there. In fact, there isn’t even any public transport which will bring you up the hill. Driving or hiring a taxi is a must. Or perhaps, riding a horse would do the trick.
So anyway, this café is a good choice for brunch. I happen to be one of those who enjoys breakfast food more than lunch or dinner, so I was really excited about dining at Rider’s Café!
The ambiance was lovely. Although there’s no air conditioning, the café was airy enough and surrounded by greenery.
Sourdough, avocado, smoked salmon, poached eggs, rocket and asparagus. I loved everything! Except that I’ll prefer scrambled eggs.
This is ‘the usual’.
This restaurant is a good choice for breakfast/ brunch. On weekdays, they are usually full. Therefore, reservations should be made a few days ahead to prevent disappointment. I’m not sure about lunch or dinner at Rider’s but anyway I have no intention to try them out. I’ll be back again for brunch though.

Ambiance: 7/10 (though I do like the rural feeling but being a Singaporean on bad days air con is a must)

Overall: 7.5/10 One of the better restaurants for this sort of breakfast/brunch in Singapore.
