I had cravings for Italian food and being in the vicinity, I decided to try out Pasta Fresca impromptu.
ZUPPA DI MARE ALL’ AMALFITANA
Fresh succulent soup of prawns, mussels, clams and squids cooked in a rich tomato sauce and served with garlic bread – $16.90
This was good! a good choice of starters. I recommend to share this, as having the whole portion alone is as filling as a main course.
GRISSINI CASALINGHI
Freshly home made plain breadsticks served wrapped in parma ham slices – $13.30
Not too impressive. The Parma ham didn’t taste good. the breadsticks were rather hard.
CAPRICCIOSA Pizza bedded with spicy pork salami, ham, artichokes, mushrooms, anchovies and black olives -$12.90
QUATTRO FORMAGGI
A pizza with emmenthal cheese, Danish blue cheese, parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese– $12.90
PIZZA RUCOLA, MOZZARELLA FRESCA E POMODORINI
A pizza with cherry tomatoes, fresh rucola and fresh mozzarella cheese – $12.90
(I requested for more rocket and less tomatoes)
The pizzas are the SMALL sized ones, which are $12.90 each. And I find that to be of incredible value because it isn’t exactly SMALL. It’ll make you full, just eating the whole small pizza! The price listed on the menu, $19.90, is for the large pizza which I’m glad as I can be I didn’t order it.
The food at Pasta Fresca is probably not the best in town for a meal of Italian food, but it’s definitely passable. The prices are affordable as well and for that price range, I think this would be one of the best Italian restaurants you can find.
