New York 2014 – Bouchon Bakery

Bouchon Bakery isn’t just any normal bakery. It is founded by Thomas Keller and they have the most delicious Oreo like biscuit in the world – the TKO, Thomas Keller’s Oreo.

At Bouchon Bakery they do have other pastries too and as much as I wanted to try that peanut butter cookie, I ended up with only the TKO because I was sceptical that anything else could be better.

These should be eaten when chilled because the filling would be molten at room temperature. The biscuit is better than a regular Oreo because the chocolate is darker and I reckon better quality cocoa powder is used. The taste ultimately depends on the quality of cocoa powder because that’s a big ingredient in baking these. The filling was nothing like the commercial artificial white rubbery sugar loaded ‘cream’ in Oreo, but was rich, smooth and decadent. I don’t recommend sharing because you will want everything for yourself.

T.K.O – USD$3.25

Delicious.
