La Ristrettos – Lunch

The upper floors of Novena Square 2 are occupied by medical suites but among the medical suites there’s actually a restaurant/ café. This restaurant has the weirdest location ever and it will probably get no walk in customers except for those who have just finished their medical appointments on the same floor. From my observation, most of the patrons are medical staff working in the vicinity (wearing their uniform).

That’s all for the indoor seats. The whole restaurant was really small.

Outdoor seats are available too, but in this weather it’s not really ideal.

Specials for the day.

The normal menu includes mushroom soup, salads, pasta, all day breakfast, desserts and drinks. Prices are net here and everything is well under $20.

Breakfast Taco – $16.90

I’m surprised to see taco but happily ordered it. The shell was crispy instead of the usual soft tortilla. Overall it was not bad, just that I didn’t quite understand why coleslaw was used for the side dish.

Affogato Caffe – $7

I am not a coffee drinker but I wanted to see what affogato was all about. I usually have desserts only at night so I can’t have affogato since my system has no immunity to caffeine. They use vanilla gelato here and since this is a coffee place I reckon their espresso must be at least decent. This seems like the formula for good affogato. You may like to note that all drinks served here and also this affogato uses double shot espresso by default, so the amount of liquid and caffeine is more than usual ( and so, caffeine hit me like a bus). Overall it was nice and I would try affogato again but probably a single shot is enough.
