Kko Kko Nara has been around for a few years but I’ve only tried their chicken when it as packed to go at some party. I remembered it being very nice but I wasn’t too sure which flavour I was having. Fast forward a few years, I’m finally here to dine in!
Chicken combo – $40.00++
This combo consists of a fixed 3 flavours of fried chicken from their menu which offers 4 types of fried chicken. The combo included, the Sweet & Spicy, Original and Garlic Soy flavours. Only after trying these 3 did I realize none of them tasted like what I had years back and the one I’ve been missing should have been the Hot & Spicy! Oh well, next time perhaps. I trusted that they’ll offer the best products in the combo but sadly this did not include the Hot & Spicy flavour which should be the flavour I tried previously (and was better) because I remembered it being covered with sauce and was spicy. The Sweet & Spicy was close enough though, and the better one among these 3.
Kimchi Soup – $25.00++
It’s no secret that I do not like Korean food and this of course did not appeal to me. However, it was decent and edible. You get to choose the meat that goes in and here we chose the saury (sardine) because every other option seems like junk food (sausage, spam etc..).
Watermelon Soju – $30.00++
Just for fun, I suggested getting soju because the meal will seem incomplete without it. For half a watermelon, it is quite overpriced, but at least it was fun. The drink was like watermelon juice with a teeny bit of alcohol and was refreshing to drink like how watermelon juice usually is. After drinking up, the remaining watermelon flesh serves as a good post meal fruit dessert. Sharing among 4 is just right in my opinion. Get this only if you have 3 pax and above.
